johanna Arriving in Groningen, I was kind of overwhelmed by everything this vibrant city offers. But for me HOST very quickly became one of the most important places to regularly go to. I was impressed by the open atmosphere where people from all over the world felt somehow at home and came together as friends. It was always fun to hang out with a bunch of international people on Friday nights and to do various great activities, hear some incredible stories and laugh a lot. I made some lovely new friends there. In addition to the Friday night events, I also joined a HOST-biblestudygroup and I loved praying and discovering more about our God with this small group.

My time in Groningen would never have been so awesome without Host. The experiences I made with these people will remain as special memories for my time back home. Thank you all – and thank God for an amazing time in the Netherlands.
