    Explore Groningen

    Location: At the stairs of the Academie Builiding.

    If you are fresh in Groningen, it might be a good idea to do a tour through Groningen. We will check out the main things you have to know and there will be some exercises waiting for you! Be there and bring your fellow internationals.

    At the start of the academic year it might be good to come together and have a relaxing evening. We will provide some 'cinema food'.

    Potluck Party

    Bring your food and share! Prepare some food, it can be anything and bring it. Together we will (hopefully) enjoy a varied dish and afterwards there will be the Kick-off for coming season. We will also arrange the biblestudygroups of coming season. Be there!

History and mission // 
About eigth year ago HOST was initiated by some Dutch students. Their aim was to provide a place where international students could encounter other (Dutch) students. Hospitality means: Make yourself at home, make friends, encounter God!  

HOST board and their mission for this year //
In 2010-11 a new board arrived. The current board contains four positions: Chairman (Jan ten Hoor), Internal Communicator (Trix Vahl), Activity Coordinator (Roeland Vos) and Biblestudy- and Fellowship-coordinator (Anieljah Zijlstra). 

Board of advisory //
Currently we are busy with a board of advisory who is able to give us advise on the long term. We are searching for people from several important backgrounds; like IFES, University, old members. 

Prayer and Giving//
Prayer is an important element of our work amongst international students. We are dependent on God. He needs to guide our efforts and to make them fruitful. 

HOST is an organization that solely relies on volunteers. That is our challenge and our strenght. In providing hospitality we make costs. If you would like to make a contribution please transfer money to the following bank account:
